OMBUDSMAN (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1984

AN ACT TO AMEND THE OMBUDSMAN ACT, 1980 . [21st November, 1984]

		BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:
[GA]	Amendment of section 4 of Ombudsman Act, 1980.	1. —The Ombudsman Act, 1980 , is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (c) of section 4 (10):
[GA]		“(c) Where an order is proposed to be made under this subsection, a draft thereof shall be laid before each House of the Oireachtas and the order shall not be made until a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House.”.
[GA]	Short title and collective citation.	2. —(1) This Act may be cited as the Ombudsman (Amendment) Act, 1984.
[GA]		(2) The Ombudsman Act, 1980 , section 52 of the Finance Act, 1981 , and this Act may be cited together as the Ombudsman Acts, 1980 to 1984.
